Do you like Flowers? Well the...

Flower-Festival-1

Netherlands are one of the world's most famous flower-producing countries. Flowers grown in Netherlands are exported worldwide every day. That makes flower production a significant part of Dutch economy and that gives them a right to organize annual events dedicated to flowers. There is a number of such festivals which are held in Netherlands every year and one of them is The Stichting Bloemencorso Valkenswaard or The Foundation Flower Parade Valkenswaard. This parade is held in September, every year, and it takes a place in Valkenswaard. It is unique chance for those who love flowers to see a plenty of creative and colorful artworks made of flowers. Here you can see some exciting photos took during this festival on the streets of Valkenswaard.

"Don't Ask, Don't Tell" vote TOMORROW!

Find out the results of the DADT repeal vote as soon as it happens: join our Mobile Action Network by texting "HRC" to 30644, join us on Facebook, or follow HRC on Twitter.
Human Rights Campaign
Dear Readers,
URGENT: The Senate is voting on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" TOMORROW.
Make two calls. Make history.
Stop what you're doing, pick up the phone, and call your senators: The senate has scheduled a final vote on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" repeal for tomorrow.
Even though a majority of senators support repeal, we need 60 votes to overcome a filibuster – and when they last voted, we had 57.
This could be our last chance for years. Every single call counts. And with the vote just hours away, every single minute counts.
Whether your senator is a courageous champion of repeal, or a die-hard opponent – you still need to call. Pro-repeal senators need to know we're counting on them to give every ounce of effort and overcome any last-minute tricks by John McCain and Senate Republican leaders – and those on the wrong side of history need to know their constituents are watching.
Every senator has staff on hand to answer the phones and speak to constituents. Make your quick and easy calls now:
Sen. Robert Casey at (202) 224-6324 and Sen. Arlen Specter at (202) 224-4254.
Right-wing activists are desperately trying to stop this bill, and I can guarantee they are lighting up the phone lines right now. If you don't get through right away, try again.
  1. Call one senator's office, and tell the staff person who answers where you live so they know you're a real constituent.
  2. Tell them you want the senator to support the standalone bill repealing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" – and that you'll remember how they vote when they're next up for election.
  3. Thank them, hang up, and make your second call to the other senator.
  4. Click here to let us know you made a call – we use this information to guide our lobbying efforts, so please don't skip it.
One more thing: save the Congressional Switchboard number – (202) 224-3121 – in your cell phone right now. Then hand it to a friend, then a co-worker, and ask them to make two calls. While you're at it, tell your family and your Facebook friends to call as well.
We need as many calls as possible in order to make repeal happen in 2010.
I'll be making calls too,

Joe Solmonese
President
P.S. Years of work, thousands of volunteer hours, hundreds of thousands of phone calls, emails, lobby visits, and town halls come down to this. Please call now, and tell everyone you know to call!

I
magine a polar bear in Times Square, its heart-wrenching struggle for survival on display for millions to see. It's a powerful image that could help mobilize people to action to save these beloved bears. And you can make it a reality.

Donate today to help run our powerful new video billboard ad near Times Square and put the plight of our polar bears – and what can be done to save them – front-and-center.

To highlight the desperate plight of these mighty Arctic hunters and spur action to save polar bears, Defenders of Wildlife has secured time on the CBS jumbotron near Times Square through Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

In a very public and prominent way, we’re calling on President Obama to secure vital habitat for these beloved bears and raising awareness about one of the most recognizable victims of climate change.

But we can’t make a difference for polar bears without you. We need to raise $65,000 by midnight tomorrow to make this ad a reality and support other polar bear-saving work.

Your tax-deductible donation will help run this powerful ad through Christmas and New Year’s and support essential work to save polar bears and other threatened and endangered animals from extinction in the wild.

This week alone, Defenders of Wildlife has mobilized nearly 45,000 caring people to contact the White House on behalf of our polar bears.

We’re not stopping there. The need for action is urgent. Scientists say that America’s polar bears could disappear from the wild by 2050… unless we act now.

That’s why we’ve joined environmental partners from across the country and around the world to call for new protections for polar bears and the habitat they need to survive. We’ve issued new recommendations that may well be key to saving America’s struggling bears from extinction in the wild.

And we’re gearing up for a tough new fight in the new Congress (which begins in just a few weeks) to prevent harmful drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and Alaska’s Chukchi and Beaufort Seas – vital habitat for America’s remaining polar bears.

Defenders of Wildlife is doing everything we can to help save these majestic animals. Will you?

Please donate today and help us save America’s polar bears from extinction in the wild.
