It's all fun and games until some Australian guy falls to his death from a 7th-floor balcony while having his picture taken.
Following the "really tragic" demise of of Acton Beale, 20, Australian prime minister Julia Gillard attempted to call an end to the latest Facebook craze Down Under, "planking" — the apparently super-fun practice of having one's photo snapped while lying board-stiff in an awkward location, for the purpose of uploading that photo on Facebook.
"There's a difference between a harmless bit of fun done somewhere that's really safe and taking a risk with your life,'' Gillard told reporters on Sunday.
"Everybody likes a bit of fun, but focus has to be on keeping yourself safe first.''
Yeah, good luck with that, sister.

He escaped from his yard in Bryn Mawr this afternoon. He is also deaf, so that is making things harder. Hopefully he is still somewhere in the Bryn Mawr area. He has a collar and tag with phone number and stating that he is deaf. Please share!!!! call 610-527-7557 if you have any info.

Souderton police chief James Leary makes a brief statement to media at the Souderton Gardens apartments where the body of nine-year-old resident Skylar Kauffman was found.
Souderton police have arrested 25-year-old James Lee Troutman, a neighbor, who has been charged in the abduction and killing of 9-year old Skylar Kauffman.
A prayer vigil will be held at 203 Chestnut St., Souderton, at 7 p.m. today for the young girl. Grace Bible Church has also invited the community to gather at the church at 423 N. Main St., Souderton, across from Souderton park, to pray from 6 to 7 p.m. in the main sanctuary.
After initial interviews, police said, they found inconsistencies in the suspect's story. Police said the suspect did not seem affected by the events. Through their investigation, police said, they had enough information to take him into custody.
Troutman is being arraigned this afternoon, across the street from the Souderton Gardens apartment complex where both Kauffman and the man lived.
Souderton Police Chief James Leary said, “We know what this is, but we can’t say it’s a homicide until the coroner says it’s a homicide”.
Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman, who was away attending a law enforcement conference, is headed back to the county to lead the filing of the charges, Leary said.
“Everybody in Souderton” was involved in the search, including police from several local departments, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office and Souderton’s Perseverance Volunteer Fire Company, Leary said. An Amber Alert had been issued about 7 p.m.
A police officer found Kauffman’s body in a trash bin around midnight Monday night, police said.
The suspect, who also lived in the apartment complex, has been taken into custody.
Police said he had blood on his shoes and acted strangely when questioned. Kauffman apparently tried to fight off the attacker and there was quite a bit of blood that led to the container in which her body, wrapped in a blanket, was found, police said.
Kauffman, who lived with her mother, Heather Kauffman, was a student at E.M. Crouthamel Elementary School in Souderton. The little girl would have turned 10 next month.
Souderton Area School District initiated its crisis response plan after learning of the news, according to a press release.
“Additional counselors and school psychologists are on hand at the school to assist students and staff as they mourn Skyler’s death. Administrators and support staff throughout the district are responding to the profound impact this tragedy is having on the entire school community,” the release notes.
“We want her family to know that our thoughts are with them in this difficult time. In our profession nothing is more heartbreaking than the death of one of our students. We share the family’s grief, and our thoughts and prayers are with them,” District Superintendent Dr. Frederick Johnson said.
The possibility of a video arraignment was earlier raised, but it now appears the arraignment will take place at District Judge Kenneth Deatelhauser’s office, which is across from the street from the apartment complex at Second and Chestnut streets.
Kauffman had been reported missing last evening. Her body was found wrapped in a blanket and dumped in a vacant lot last night.
According to police, her body was found around midnight.
"She was out playing. She didn't return for dinner. She was quite late. Her family became concerned. They contacted us. As it darkened, we became concerned. When it became full dark, we were very concerned," Leary said. "We mobilized our forces, and we conducted a very, very careful search of the general area and a very specific search of the local area. And unfortunately we found her body in the Dumpster."
A significant amount of blood and a trail with some of Kauffman's belongings, including her boots, led police from the apartment building's basement to the area where her body was found wrapped in a blanket, Leary said.
Police reported that it appeared the little girl had fought off her attacker.
The search started around North Second and East Chestnut streets, Souderton. She was last seen playing on a playground there at around 5:30 p.m., according to the alert. Multiple departments were involved in the search.

Skylar was last seen playing with friends at about 5:30 p.m. Monday on the 9th around an apartment complex which is right near the Hillside Cemetery at 2nd & Chestnut Streets in Souderton, police say.
The Souderton local Police have and will continue searching the cemetery & near by areas where Skylar Kauffman was last seen. The 9-year-old girl was officially reported missing at 7 p.m. Monday, May 9th.

The Beat-bullying charity runs Cybermentors, an online youngster-to-youngster advice service to support young people who are being bullied. Beat-bullying is also organizing a 'Big March' - an online protest march against bullying. You can join by going to the Big March website to lobby the government on bullying. Useful advice is also available on the Beat Bullying website.
ChildLine is the free helpline and online service for children and young people in the UK. Children and young people can call 0800 1111 or visit the website to talk to a trained counselor about any problem, or talk to other young people on the message boards.
The Network for Surviving Stalking is conducting a study to find out the scale of cyber harassment. There's also practical advice at their website. The National Stalking Helpline is 0300 636 0300.
The UK National Bullying Helpline is available for adults and children Monday to Thursday 10am-4pm on 0845 22 55 787. Useful advice can be found on their website.

Well at first I wasn't going to give this much thought nor did ANY of the pictures ANY of the post that spoke on this have a DECENT picture! Mostly it looked as if she just lost some weight and her face was a bit more defined & just maybe the stress of being a Teen Mom *Rolls Eyes* (That was clearly sarcasm, lmbo! BUT, no I did my OWN research and got my hands on some UNTOUCHED nor were they watermarked pictures, meaning they have 0 copyright and are free share, well were. Lol,
BUT......Seriously LOOK at the picture of Bristol on the left, & I did choose a much nicer one! They're so MANY way worse photos of her, all you have to do to see them is just GOOGLE her name and a TON pop up! x)~ Especially now w/the controversy!But Seriously BACK to the point LOOK at those pictures the picture on the LEFT is NOT the same as the girl on the right! She TOTALLY TOOK AWAY ALL her natural features WHICH MADE HER who she was! She'll no longer have people wonder if she's twins w/her younger sister (because they definitely are Irish Twinsthough that's for sure, lol!) but yeah, I have NO doubt that she has had work done to her face which is so so very sad because she's a TEENAGER even up to 30 women still are developing and changing and most grow more and more beautiful thru the years! :)
IF she JUST would have waited!!!! Her face would have developed and face it I do NOT like her but SHE IS NOT AN UGLY girl, neither is her mother, honestly. But she would have grown in to a NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL woman if she just would've LEFT HER FACE ALONE! :( BUTCHERING your face at any age younger then 40 in my opinion you're making the BIGGEST MISTAKES OF YOUR LIFE!!!! You have NO WRINKLES and peoples FLAWS are what make you beautiful!!
People seriously NEED to wake up and REALLY REALIZE not just say it!!! BUT TRULY BELIEVE IN IT that BEAUTY is INSIDE NOT on the OUTSIDE! If you're the most beautiful and kindest person on the inside it WILL SHINE through you and it WILL show!! Which other sources, friends of hers and Professionals say she had it done soley
for looks NOT to correct her TEETH (they were fine!) Lol, she also has been CALLED out for having ALLOT more done by Professionals pointing it out! :)
SO YES she did have surgery & that is just SAD!!!!!!! :(
What an example this will be for ALL young girls!
How many more times is she gonna prove how she is a BAD role model for teens!
And NOW she has a Reality show in which sounds TERRIBLE! Just google it, it's everywhere. Or take my word on it! It's not even worth linking. Period.
